We keep the details needed to perform your puja and to send the video. We do not sell them. This notice is a draft for review under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
Your name, gotra, nakshatra, WhatsApp number, and email if you give one. Your postal address: house and street, area, city, state, and PIN code. Up to five family members, each with a name, and gotra, nakshatra, and a mobile number if you give them. The puja you chose, the amount, an optional wish, and the payment reference from Razorpay.
Why we keep it
To perform the booking and to let the priest say the sankalp. To send puja updates and the video on WhatsApp to your number and to the family numbers you listed. To refund you if you cancel in time, and to help you if you call. We store this because you tick the consent box before you pay.
Saved on your account
Your name, address, and family are saved on your account after you confirm your mobile number. They are there on any phone you log in with. We do not keep a separate copy in this browser, and we do not let anyone fetch an address by typing a phone number into the website.
Login with your mobile number
Booking asks you to confirm your mobile number with a one-time code. That checks the WhatsApp number for the video and opens your account. After the code, you return to the page you came from. We do not show your details to anyone who has not entered the code.
How long we keep it
We keep the booking, the address, and the family for as long as we need them to perform the puja, to handle a refund, and to keep a record of the payment.
How to ask for deletion
Email or call the contacts on the Help page and ask us to delete your details. Please give the phone number you booked with, and the booking code if you have it. We will delete the saved devotee profile and the family numbers, and we will remove them from our booking records where the law allows. A payment record may need to be kept for tax.
Who else sees it
The priest and our devotee-care team see the sankalp details, the address, and the WhatsApp numbers. Razorpay processes the payment. If Supabase is connected, the profile and bookings are stored there. We do not sell your details.
